This initiative will build on the UNECE UN/CEFACT Package of Standards for data exchange along supply chains, given the increasing importance of UNECE UN/CEFACT tools in managing the complexities of data transfer across transport modes.

Here's a glimpse into the project's key aims:

Identifying challenges and gaps in soft trade infrastructure for seamless transit procedures and connectivity along corridors, particularly for landlocked developping countries.

Developing policy recommendations to support UN Member States with enhancing digital and sustainable trade facilitation along transit trade and transport corridors.

Developing implementation guidelines for the UN/CEFACT Package of Standards for Data Exchange supporting the digital transformation of cross-border trade procedures.
